Register Now for College Sorority 101 for 2010

College Sorority 101 is an information session for high school senior women and their parents hosted by the Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic Association (AAPA) to introduce them to the benefits and advantages of sorority membership. This event will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Pressly Hall of The Westminster School.

AAPA delegates and alternates will be responsible for coordinating this event. Lissa Bradford, National Panhellenic Confer-ence Alternate Delegate for Kappa Alpha Theta, will be leading the information session. Invitations will be sent to area high schools and disseminated to high school senior women through the counseling office. Reservations for College Sorority 101 can be made onlineĀ  at www.atlantapanhellenic.org/recruitment. If any of your alumnae have high school counselor and/or PTSA contact information for area high schools , please contact Peggy Jones at pegjones@bellsouth.net.

New Scholarships for High School Seniors

This year, the Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic Association will be offering two $1,000 scholarships to high school senior women who demonstrate scholastic capabilities, leadership qualities, and service to the community and are residents of either Cherokee, Cobb, DeKalb, Doug-las, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett or Rockdale. All applicants must be planning to enroll by August 2010 at a four-year college that has NPC sororities on campus.

The deadline to submit applications is Friday, March 26, 2010 and should be sent to Patty Deitsch at
scholarship@atlantapanhellenic.org. Additional information is available on the AAPA website.

Scholarship recipients will be announced at the AAPA Scholarship Luncheon on Saturday, May 1, 2010. AAPA already offers scholarships to alumnae and collegiate women, and this year they will expand their scholarships to include high school senior women. The Atlanta Alum-nae Panhellenic is the only alum-nae panhellenic offering scholarships to all 3 age groups and is excited about the opportunity to further increase awareness of sorority membership.

Scholarships for Collegiates and Alumnae

The Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic Association is pleased to announce that our association will continue our tradition of awarding collegiate and alumnae scholarships at our Spring Scholarship Luncheon on May 1, 2010 at the Dunwoody Country Club.

Two collegiate scholarships of $1000 each will be awarded to deserving NPC women attending one of the many colleges and universities within the state of Georgia where the National Panhellenic Conference is represented.

Two alumnae scholar-ships of $750 each will be awarded to active members of an NPC group who are continuing their education. Scholarship application forms and details are available now on the AAPA website. The applications are due March 26, 2010 and selections will be announced at the AAPA meeting on April 20, 2010.
